Dave Walker lives in Dalgety Bay and works as a Teacher in Aberdour and he is standing as a candidate to be a local councillor for Inverkeithing, Dalgety Bay and Aberdour.
He has been a hard working and successful councillor in Dunfermline for the last five years:
helping to get new schools and council or other affordable houses built
working with voluntary organisations like the Dunfermline Children’s Gala to ensure they get council support and funding to run successfully.
Helping lots of residents with housing and other neighbourhood issues.
He has been a member of the Education and children’s services Committee for much of this time, which has overseen Fife’s best ever school attainment and achievement results. He was appointed Fife Champion for Looked After Children to lead improvements to the outcomes for these disadvantaged young people.
He has also been working locally as a member of Donibristle Primary School’s Parent
Council and now leads the Health and Well-
He has used his Education and Council experience to help find funding to build Donibristle’s new Hall which finally allows the whole school to meet together.
He is currently working with and supporting:

He has also been pressing and will continue to press the council to take action on:
Flooding on the A921 next to the industrial estate – progress made.
Dog Fowling – Wardens will now be targeting school runs, Aberdour High Street and coastal path.
Litter – Wardens and clean up teams will tackling various areas, e.g. Harbour Drive, Coastal Path and around industrial parks.
Pot holes – challenging council to take action on roads, including potholes in the industrial parks.
Checking safety of Play and Skate Parks – including sorting drainage and getting new surface for the Play Park at Letham Farm Hill.
Challenged Council to renew grafittied bus shelters and work with businesses to get grafitti removed from buildings.
Pressurising Scotrail and the Scottish Government to keep their promise to reinstate the cancelled morning train service
Keeping up the pressure on MOD to clean up the radioactive contamination in Dalgety Bay.
If he is Elected he will:
Continue to try to help any residents with any issues or Problems.
Continue to work with and support local groups.
Push for improvements to Dalgety Bay Primary School – particularly refurbishing the toilets.
Fight to secure funding for improvements to Inverkeithing High School to make sure it is safe, secure and up to date.
Keep working with the Council and local community to make our green spaces, play parks, beaches, roads and pavements better, safer and tidier.
Support the Dalgety Bay and Hillend Community Council to get the Radioactive Contamination cleared up once and for all.
Push for improvements to Clockluine Road surface and the dangerous junction with the B981 as soon as possible.
